There is a place I know

In a lovely part of town.

The trees put on quite a show

With their colors red, orange, gold and brown.

Such a charming little home

It sits back just out of sight.

I could see him sitting there alone

As I surprised him one October night.

It's a night I'll n'er forget I know...

I can still see the smile light up his face

As he peeked out from the window

And he saw me in the driveway of his place.

As the leaves fell all around us then

He took me in his arms and softly said ...hello.

I thought our love would never end

I never dreamed that once again I'd go.

Though seasons change and the falling leaves are gone

I'll always see us together where the wildflowers grow.

He'll be with me for eternity and beyond

Even when October goes.

Jo

When October Goes

And when October goes
The snow begins to fly.
Above the smokey roofs
I watch the planes go by.

The children running home
Beneath a twilight sky.
Oh... for the fun of them
When I was one of them.

And when October goes
The same old dream appears
And you are in my arms

To share the happy years.
I turn my head away
To hide the helpless tears
Oh how I hate to see
October go...

Oh... for the fun of them
When I was one of them.
And when October goes
The same old dream appears
And you are in my arms
To share the happy years.

I'll turn my head away
To hide the helpless tears
Oh how I hate to see
October go...

I should be over it now I know
It doesn't matter much
How old I grow...
I hate to see October go.
