Good-bye 2005

At the stroke of midnight…
2006 will be here!
I look forward to a new beginning
With another New Year.

I'll make the same old resolutions,
Maybe this year I can keep them.
It's so hard to break old habits
But some things just have to end.

I'll try real hard to find compassion
For the people who don't have any.
The leaders and the politicians...
There seem to be so many.

I’ll try to be more patient,
Tolerant and understanding
Of people with an attitude
And those who are too demanding.

Some things I know I can't change,
Like natural calamities.
But I can try to change myself
To be a better me.

I can’t prevent disasters
Nor stop crime or the war,
But I can be here for you
And pray a little more.

I can show my family more
And also let my friends know
Just what they mean to me
And how much I love them so.

I’ll not dwell on past mistakes
But try to make a little less.
I’ll greet this new year with a smile
And give it all my best.

May you always be a dreamer
May all your dreams come true
Happy New Year One and All
I wish Prosperity, good Health,
Happiness and Love to You!
