I don't know which is harder,
Losing an old lover or an old friend.
I guess I always thought
I'd have my friends until the end.
But one thing I never thought...
I'd lose a friend to my old lover.
But thinking about it now
Perhaps...they both deserve each other.
The thing that hurts the most
Is the telling of the lies
The pretending to befriend me
While she looked into my eyes.
A stranger I could sympathize with,
She has no idea what's around the bend,
But my friend knew what i went thru
And I believed in her until the end.
I just don't understand
How she can't see it's all a game.
Eventually she'll find out
He'll treat her just the same.
So to an old lover I'll only say
I'll have no problem getting over you.
To an old friend..... Remember;
The only thing he really loves
Besides himself...is what you have
And all that you can do.
