September
Ah... September, my favorite month of all.
Some people like the summer, but I prefer the fall.
The falling of the leaves, there's a crispness in the air.
The trees all gold and red, nothing can compare.

September mornings with skies so bright and blue,
It always brings back memories of days of me and you.
The memories I hold are to me a precious treasure.
The love we had together is more than anything I can measure.

September mornings.. they were beautiful beyond belief.
I tried so hard to hold you but your love was like a falling leaf.
We had our season in the sun but as the days grew cold
Your love seemed to lose the glow of yellow, red and gold.

There's not a day goes by that I don't think of you.
Not a month or a season that I don't want you too.
But come September when the summer turns to fall
My memories take over and I miss you most of all.

With the falling of the leaves I go back to yesterday.
I remember how you held me.. I never thought you'd go away.
How you wrapped your arms around me
When a chill was in the air.
In my heart I still can feel you and I'll always feel you there.

Seasons come and seasons go
And I hope you know...
I will always love you and forever I'll remember
How much you loved me one September.
