I can't forget the love we had before.

You brought happiness into my life for a little while

And though it didn't last forever it still makes me smile.


I've been trying to forget someone my heart still adores

We may never know the reason

But at least we had each other for a season.


There are folks who never find a love that's true

But I found mine the day that I met you.

And even if it couldn't last forever

I'm glad for the time we had together.


I'll miss those days forever friend

Sometimes I wish they never had to end

And even though our love is now a used to be

I'm no longer trying to forget the time of you and me.


Although we tried we just couldn't get it back again

And things could never be the way they were back then.
