New Year's Eve 2001

I'd like to start this new year with some imagination.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have peace among our nations?

To start out fresh with a brand new song

To live right and not do any thing wrong?

To forget the hurts that happened in the past

And work together for peace at last?

To like your neighbor and share his load,

And help a stranger along the road?

To have someone to love and hold

And stay together until you're old?

To have a world without any strife

To be happy and healthy all of our life?

What a life it would be without frustration

But of course this is only my imagination.

But what a wonderful life it is anyway

To be free to live and love in this U S A.!

So on this Eve of a Year brand New

I wish Love and Happiness and Peace to You.

May Your Joys be Many and Your Troubles be Few

2001 was a year in infamy that's true

And may God Bless Us All in 2002

  New Year's Day... 2002

For me, this isn't just another New year.
It's my 65th birthday and I'm so glad to be here.
I've never accepted birthdays well before
But now that I'm older I hope to have many more.

This year as I look back on my life
I'm grateful for everything in my past, even the strife.
After all, it's made me what I am today,
I'll never be perfect but that's OK.

I've made a lot of mistakes in this life of mine.
But I'm working on them... I just hope there's still time.
If I've ever hurt you, let me say now
I'm sorry I did and please, forgive me somehow.

To my family and friends both on line & off
Thanks for putting up with me (cough, cough)
To my on-line sisters... I'm so happy I found you
A real sister couldn't be as loving and true.

Happy, Blessed New Year!
