Closure...
Closure... what is it?
I have tried for a year and yet...
How can I ever find closure
When it's impossible to forget?
Do I tie it in a ribbon
Like an old love letter?
Do I lock it up somewhere
And hope it all gets better?
It's not something to tuck away
And bring out on a rainy day.
The memories live within me
And in my heart they'll stay.
I have tried to find closure
As every day I begin my life anew
But even though my life's moved on
The past moves on with me too.
Closure is closing the door forever.
Closure is saying good-bye...it's over my friend,
But how does my heart shut out the memory?
It may get easier with time but it will never end.
I can let go... I can survive
But my memories will never die.
Times have changed and life goes on
But closure?.... I can't even begin to try.
We will never forget September 11, 2001
No more than we forgot the planes sabotaged thru the years
No more than we forgot Pearl Harbor, Korea and Vietnam
It will hold a place in our hearts... it will always bring tears.

Closure... It's a word I can't get past.
Like my past, like Love...
How do I ever close it forever?
And just as I can't close the door on these
Neither can I close the door on September 11, 2001
It's embedded in my heart forever... with my past... with my love.
Perhaps.. Whenever I Cross Over I'll Find Closure In This Life.
